Volounteering

Do you wish to help us at Hexcon? To run the festival, we need volounteers. We need help receiving payments and registering attendees, and running the concession stand during the festival. For each session you volounteer, you get the following:

• A 6- or 10-side Hexcon- or Hexagon-branded die
• A 50 NOK discount on the entrance fee¹
• A free soda and your choice of hot dog or waffle at the concession stand
• A coupon to use in the game bazaar which can be exchanged for games and other goods

As a volounteer, you are an important part of the festival, and we greatly appreciate your help. We promise you:

• A thorough description of your tasks
• An overview of who volounteers when
• That were will be a contact person available during the entire festival, if you have questions or need help.
• A training session

You volounteer the same way you sign up for other events. As a volounteer, your shift lasts the duration of the session.

1. You have to pay a minimum of 50 NOK if you are not already a member of Hexagon game club. Your discount is applied by you first paying the ticket, and then receiving a refund after the festival. This is to guard against no-shows. ↩︎
